Speech and Language Therapist
As a speech and language therapist, no two days are the same; there’s always something new, funny or surprising every day!
One thing I love about speech and language therapy is that there is no right or wrong method of communication; all forms of communication, whether it be speech, signing, or high-tech AAC, are valid. I have a keen interest in autism and neurodiversity, and I take a neurodiversity-affirming approach. I am enthusiastic about supporting people to communicate using methods that best suit them and to help people to thrive with their communication goals, and consequently their goals in other aspects of life.
I also take an interest in the latest research to make sure that the therapy I do will attain the best possible outcomes for the children, young people, and adults I work with.
My favourite word “Kindness”. A beautiful word that has the power to create positive connections, foster harmonious relationships, and uplift both the giver and the receiver.
