Our Speech and Language Therapy Service For Schools
Since 2006 we have been working with schools to create high quality, effective speech and language therapy provisions. Our schools based speech and language therapy services are consistent and reliable and achieve tangible positive outcomes for pupils.
Our expert team of speech and language therapists and assistant practitioners provide services in over 100 schools across the South East of England, the Midlands and London, helping thousands of children and young people shine by removing barriers to their communication development and learning. In addition to targeted therapy with individual pupils, we offer schools guidance at a universal, whole school level on how to embed strategies and techniques that maximise each pupil’s communication potential into the teaching and broader school environment.
How Does Our Schools Speech & Language Therapy Service Work?
Our speech therapy teams can see pupils individually, in groups or a combination. We do in-class therapy and joint teaching as well as seeing pupils for discrete therapy sessions. We work closely with SENCOs and Head Teachers to make sure that all the pupils that need our specialist input are getting it. We work with pupils with a broad range of speech, language and communication needs including Autism, Situational Mutism, Stammering, DLD, Hearing Impairment, speech sound difficulties, Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Verbal Dyspraxia.
What Do Our Schools Think Of Our Speech Therapy Service?
We find that once one of our Speech and Language Therapists starts providing a regular, consistent service and the value of this is felt by the school, our role in the school broadens. Schools use our specialist skills and knowledge to help transform the school into one that is recognised in the local community as being outstanding in supporting all children with speech, language and communication needs to meet their potentials for learning and development.
