The Benefits of Being a Part of the Magic Words Therapy Team
We at Magic Words Therapy pride ourselves on being a warm, cohesive and collaborative team of individuals who share a pioneering spirit and a dedication to being the best we can be for our clients. We want every member of our team to feel valued. Each person’s contribution is both vital and unique and we want every individual to realise how important they are to the smooth and effective running of Magic Words Therapy. Whether you are part time or full time, clinical or support staff, if you have 6 months experience or have been 20 years on the job, we value everybody equally. We could not provide the high quality of service that we pride ourselves on without the contribution of every single member of our team.
“We strive every day to look after the happiness and wellbeing of every single member our team”
The benefits you can expect as an employed member of the Magic Words Therapy team:
Paid annual leave and sick leave. Our therapists enjoy 11.5 weeks of annual leave per year.
Pension scheme.
Flexible working including opportunities to work from home.
Approximately 10 annual CPD days. Recently we have had Makaton Foundation & Enhanced, Selective Mutism with Maggie Johnson, Colourful Semantics with Alison Bryan, PECS training and Attention Autism with Gina Davies.
Our therapist’s clinical development is encouraged and supported, e.g. developing specialist clinical areas.
Regular scheduled supervision with highly experienced senior therapists. We adhere strictly to the RCSLT guidelines on frequency of supervision.
Structured career and pay progression.
Special treatment on your birthday (it’s a surprise!)
Christmas and summer parties paid for by us and regular team social events.
Childcare voucher scheme.
Clinical development club. These are arranged half termly by our therapists. Each event involves friendly and relaxed discussion of a clinical aspect, sometimes an article. This is a great way to get to know your fellow team members and increase your clinical knowledge at the same time.
Weekly team meetings.
Our Magic Words Trust means that all the work we do helps us provide help to disadvantaged children who really need it. Giving is important to us and we want our team to feel a sense of meaning in everything they do.
We are attempting to gradually move away from a hierarchical organisational structure towards more of a horizontal one. In plain speaking this means that we listen to our team, involve them in decision making and give them the chance to make an impact every day they come to work.
